Former Governor of Imo State and candidate of Accord Party, Dr Ikedi Ohakim effortlessly dusted his rivals in his Polling Unit (PU 006) at Umunnuma Civic Hall, Okohia, by recording a big vote in the Governorship Election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Presiding Officer, Biem, Fanen Elijah scored Ohakim’s Accord Party a total of 890 votes in the PU 006 to boost his chances in the Imo Guber race. APGA and PDP garnered a paltry 10 and 04 votes in the Polling Unit respectively.
About 1,164 voters registered in the PU while 1,100 turned out to vote.
The results of the other three elections of the House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives and Senate for the Imo North Senatorial District are being tallied at the time of this report.
